Mill Food takes up 24% of the space in US landfills; 51% of that comes from households. Food in landfills is bad. It wastes nutrients and emits tons of methane, a greenhouse gas that’s 80x more potent than CO2 emissions over a 20 year period. Food isn't waste, so Mill made a kitchen device that processes food scraps, which then get picked up and used for chicken feed. We focused on the cyclical process of agriculture, from the farm to the kitchen and back to the farm. Commissioned by the wonderful, talented team at Manual SF.
